stupid trial

Dress / Belt: Target
Shoes: Payless

I'm almost 100% positive that John super glued me to the bed this morning - making getting up nearly impossible.... which is conveniently the excuse I'm going to use to explain the lack of creativity in this outfit. Had I not been so sick of hearing about the stupid Casey Anthony trial on the news I probably would still be laying in that bed - but thanks to that stupid trial Orlando has taken it upon themselves to cancel all normal TV. In short: they have screwed me out of watching Regis and Kelly - inevitably making me early to work ... and well .. people might start getting used to it. i can't handle expectations like that.

Not only has the trial made watching normal TV impossible - and screwed up my normal work lateness .. it's also begun to dictate when I can take lunch ... everyday I wait till the dang judge lets the jury recess for lunch so I can insure that when I go home it's not on EVERY channel. Not to mention it has totally messed up my Saturday morning routine - because for all you lucky non-Orlando residents that may not know - the trial is also conducted on Saturdays.

I've had enough.

the App. diet

Dress: Target
Shoes: Payless

What's more annoying than being sick?
Having a sick boyfriend.
What's more annoying that having a sick boyfriend?
Having a sick dog.
Rem Rod is sick. The gross kind of sick: puking, coughing and sneezing sick.

So what's the real annoying part of having a sick dog?
Sick dogs don't have insurance to go to the vet. Correction: Remy does not have insurance to go to the vet.

In other news, thanks to BFF's recent visit, John and I are now on a diet. What diet you might ask? "The App Diet" - yes people, you read that correctly. Not only are our phones being used as "Words with Friends Devices" they are now also keeping track of our caloric intake and ruling/ruining my life.
I found out today was that if I exercise I am able to have more daily calories.

Basically, I walk my dog for wine.
I walk him twice for 2 glasses.

Thank you iphone.

PS: The blog Freckles in April has made be obsessed with this DIY tunic. I wanna make it... AFTER I locate my creative genes and buy a pair of scissors. all in due time.

For those that have scissors click here are the DIY directions :)

the non-interview

Scarf: Target
Shoes: Payless

Apparently when you show up to work looking like you give a damn people think you are going on/went on a job interview. Then when you kinda dilly-dally on your lunch break and take too long to eat your Panera chopped salad the office rumor mill goes into overdrive and by the time you get back you've been made CEO of the janitorial department and their planning your going away party.

Can't a girl just look nice?

Actually, what does that say about the way I dress every other day??

the white truth

Shirt: Gap
Jeans: Gap
Shoes: Payless

I think it's also pretty lame (of me) that I have worn this shirt COUNTLESS times ... in fact this may very well be one of my favorite tops ... and ya'll have never had the (wonderful) opportunity to see it! I'm not sure why whenever I wear this top I forget to take outfit pictures, but I'm pretty sure it's because subconciously I don't really want you to know how much I actually wear this gem.

I have a question for you - how do we feel about white denim? In all honesty? Gap, Jcrew, and LOFT are saturating their websites with these questionable clothing items and I'm just not sure which side of the fence I fall on when it comes to these purely whites.
I posted them to my website, Outfitchec.com this evening, but the jury is still out. Log on and rate them!

Today is the day ... drum roll please ... THE VOICE!!
I fell victim to NBC's relentless advertising and actually found myself re-arranging my Tuesday night TV schedule to see see what all the hype was about. I'll just go ahead and admit it: I'm lame.

In other news, I had a WONDERFUL meeting today with a fellow Orlando blogger and a lover of all things pretty, Miss Mary, the creator of the beautiful design blog Olivet. Together we have brainstormed some pretty big ideas that  I think ya'll are really going to like :) No beans are spilling out of my bag .. you will just have to keep checking in to see what we have up our (always adorable) sleeves!

happy feet / bad dog

I'm about an inch away from putting Mr. Remy's leash on him and taking him on a little field trip to the Orange County Humane Society to let him realize how good he has it.

Between running INTO the UPS man's truck while he was stopped at the people next door's house, tipping over the kitchen trash can and spreading garbage from my kitchen to China, peeing in his crate, throwing up on the couch, and last but not least BOLTING out my front door and hauling butt to the end of the street and forcing me to chase him in 3-inch heels. Today was not his day.

It's high time to shape up or ship our Rem-Rod.

Moving on to more exciting topics ... I LOVE MY NEW SHOES!!
Payless you have made my feet smile :)
These definitely pushed me out of my "office cool but still young" comfort zone. But in a good way. They were beyond comfortable and even though I didn't receive any shoe-praise today from my co-workers, the smile they put on my face every time I looked down at my feet made it feel a little bit like Christmas all day long :) Highly recommended.

I'm glad my shoes made me happy, because this outfit was just "blah." Yes, "BLAH" is an adjective now. However, as you may or may not have noticed... I'm wearing DENIM (again) in the form of a shirt. I guess you could say I was pushin' my outfit comfort zones all day.
