Update 2

Mark your calendars, a miracle has just occurred.
2. posts. in. a. row.
BOOYA!

Update 2:
In September John and I went to the booming metropolis of Olcott Beach, NY for a (my-side) family reunion. If you haven't been / never heard of Olcott Beach, which is the case for probably most of the world, Olcott is on Lake Ontario, 45 mins from Buffalo and 45 mins from Niagara Falls aka: the black hole of all cell phone reception.

After a scenic guided (by my dad) tour of Olcott, taking all of 5 minutes, John and I settled into what we now refer to as the 5-Day Binger. Being as there's not exactly a long list of things to do in Olcott, John and I (and the rest of my family) took up alcoholism. This is probably a good time to mention the fact that my family does nothing in moderation. After a few hours of practice, we were experts. And after a few days we were painlessly switching from beer, to liquor, to champagne, with the same ease and expertise as a seasoned AA dropout.

Who needs shells? Lake Ontario prefers rocks.

Normal family reunion games: Gangham dancing and arm wrestling

After mastering the art of alcoholism, John and my cousins and I decided to conquer Buffalo. None of us had ever been and now was as good a time as any to explore the city that my 2nd favorite food's namesake. We started at the Pearl Street Grill where we were schooled on the subject of the Beer Tube. We passed the Beer Tube test with flying colors and quickly moved on to mastering Buffalo's most famous / my 2nd favorite food: The Buffalo Wing. Now, I'm sure some of you out there must be thinking that a buffalo wing in Orlando is the same as a Buffalo wing from Buffalo. I'm here to tell you that you're wrong. They were literally, hands-down, the best chicken wings I had ever eaten. ever.

THE. BEER. TUBE.

After passing the Beer Tube and Chicken Wings tests, we set out to explore the city. We headed down to the docks where were managed to take enough pictures to claim we had in fact been to Buffalo before it started down pouring and we ran back to the car to head home .... But not before authentic Buffalo Sabers gear was purchased (from the arena) and another Buffalo bar was checked off our lists.

Exploring the docks of Buffalo

The day before leaving, my big Irish family loaded into 2 cars and we headed to the boarder to check out Niagara Falls. We came. We saw. We got wet. We got new shoes. We conquered.
